Canel Borlak

Born in 1962, she studied public administration in the University of 9 Eylül. She worked for one of the biggest tour operators of UK and acted as a translator under oath for 9 years.

In 1992, she founded the advertising department of a local radio & tv station and built up its corporate and marketing strategies. She produced all the radio ads and became the dubbing director of the station. She won the first Crystal Apple Award of Turkey in radio ads together with Ceyhan.

in 1997, she founded Advise and since then she’s been operating all the strategic and creative processes of the company as a partner. Being the creative director of her first movie theater production, she made it to the finals (Crystal Apple Achievement Award). She also won two achievement awards in Bumerang, the Advertising and Design Awards of Izmir Advertising Association, of corporate films.

Various designs of Canel were published in Turkish Graphic Designers Catalogue.

She is the Aegean Representative of Turkish Ad Creatives Association.

She works on graphic design, photo editing, compositing, color correction, film editing, motion graphics, dvd authoring, audio editing, film direction, audio direction and personal artistic photography. She speaks very good English.

Ceyhan Borlak

Born in 1963, he studied musicology in the University of 9 Eylül. During his studies, he worked in Yamaha as the musical director. He professionally played keyboards, bass and guitar and performed both on stage and in several tv shows.

In 1986, he took the attention of an ad guru with his approach and remarks at a jazz panel to which he was invited as a discussant. He soon was assigned to the famous ad agency of the said guru as assistant to the president. In his early years of advertising, he worked through almost all the creative stages of advertising campaigns of national brands.

In 1992, he got another invitation from a local radio & tv station to build up its advertising division. He soon started as the manager in said company. First he set up the basis and strategies of the agency and then together with Canel, he produced all the original jingles of the station and more than 3000 radio spots. Some of his opinions had entered into the Regulations for the Law Concerning Private Radio Broadcasting. He then enlarged the scope of the agency to graphics and all other kinds of advertising.

Since 1997, he has been working with Canel at Advise as the creative partner. Between 2005-07 he was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Izmir Advertising Association. In his career of more than 25 years, he has been attended several panels, conferences, advertising activities and competitions as lecturer, commentator, competitor and jurry member.

Ceyhan works on graphic design, photograph editing, film editing, motion graphics, 3d design, modelling, animation, color correction, compositing, sound mixing, mastering, recording, dvd authoring and professionally shoots film and pictures.

He plays Rhodes, keyboards, classical, electric and acoustic guitars. He has composed, arranged, orchestrated, recorded, performed, mixed and mastered several sountracks and jingles. He also achieved symphonic recordings, editing and mastering of classical music performances .

He speaks very good English and is good at reading Ottoman Turkish.
